What distinguishes ALTOMAYO organic coffee?
Since 1998, ALTOMAYO has stood for 100% organic Arabica coffee from Peru. Our coffees combine their Peruvian origin with long-standing relationships with coffee-producing families and gentle long-term drum roasting in Germany. This creates diverse flavor profiles – from mild and balanced to bold and full-bodied.
Where does ALTOMAYO organic coffee come from?
Our organic Arabica beans come from Peru and are grown in the Peruvian highlands. Since 1998, ALTOMAYO has been closely connected to the origin of its coffees and the local people.
What does 100% organic Arabica mean?
Arabica refers to one of the most important coffee species. For our ALTOMAYO coffees, we use 100% Arabica beans from certified organic cultivation. Depending on the coffee, roast, and preparation, this results in different aromas and flavor profiles.
How are the ALTOMAYO organic coffees roasted?
Our organic coffees are refined in Germany using a gentle, long-term drum roasting process. The roast is tailored to each individual coffee, allowing distinct flavor profiles to develop – from mild filter coffee to bold espresso.
Is ALTOMAYO coffee also available decaffeinated?
Yes. ALTOMAYO offers both organic decaffeinated coffee and organic decaffeinated espresso. The green organic Arabica beans are decaffeinated using the CO₂ process with natural carbon dioxide before roasting. Our decaffeinated coffees contain less than 0.1% residual caffeine.
Which ALTOMAYO coffee is right for me?
That depends primarily on your taste and your preferred preparation method. If you like it mild and balanced, for example, our Café Altura is a good choice. For a full-bodied Café Crema, our Café Crema is ideal. Those who prefer a strong espresso will find a more intense variety in our Espresso Intensivo. Decaffeinated alternatives are also part of our range.
How is the best way to store coffee beans?
Coffee should be stored in a place that is as dry and cool as possible, and protected from light, heat, and strong foreign odors. Seal the packaging carefully after opening and, ideally, grind whole beans just before brewing.
Can I also buy ALTOMAYO organic coffee products in stores?
Yes, our ALTOMAYO organic coffees are available at selected organic retailers and other retail partners.
Please note that the product range may vary depending on the retailer and store location, which means that not every ALTOMAYO item is available everywhere.

Do you also deliver outside Germany?
Yes, in addition to Germany, we also deliver to numerous European countries.
Shipping costs depend on the destination country and the shipping weight. You can find the applicable shipping costs and delivery times in our shipping terms; they will also be displayed during checkout.
