Social responsibility

Social commitment for a just future

ALTOMAYO practices social responsibility by directly supporting coffee-producing families in Peru. Through transparent partnerships, knowledge transfer, and investments in local projects, we are committed to sustainable development. Our goal: to improve the quality of life of the producing families and strengthen their communities. Whether through educational support, health projects, or environmental protection – every project contributes to creating more equitable opportunities.
With every purchase of our ALTOMAYO organic coffee specialties, you support our mission to promote social justice and sustainable trade in Peru.

Strengthening communities

Our contribution to a better world

Strengthening communities

For ALTOMAYO, social responsibility means thinking beyond trade. Together with organic coffee producers, we support projects that strengthen education, healthcare, and other sustainable infrastructure in the coffee-growing regions.

From supporting the expansion of schools and their services to water supply initiatives, we invest in communities to create long-term prospects.

Our partnerships are based on trust and transparency and contribute to sustainably improving the quality of life of farmers and their families.

For a just social future

Promote projects that make an impact

ALTOMAYO actively supports selected projects that benefit people and nature.

From infrastructure projects in Peru to supporting the "Organic Bread Box" initiative for first-graders in Germany, we promote sustainable development with a focus on future generations. Our most recent initiatives include supporting local educational projects, fundraising for humanitarian causes, and supporting climate protection.

Each project is carefully selected to ensure a long-term positive impact on society.

The "Organic Bread Box" campaign in Berlin

For over 10 years, we have been supporting the BioBrotbox in Berlin by diligently helping out and packing with our team.

Additionally, every year we set up our ALTOMAYO "Organic Coffee Bar," where we offer a variety of organic coffee specialties with a barista manning our portafilter machine. We also offer freshly brewed filter coffee in thermos flasks to better handle the rush, and for our little and big helpers, we also offer our organic FairTrade hot chocolate.

Since 2005, we've been supporting the many hardworking volunteers who come together every Sunday starting at 8 a.m. to recharge their batteries during well-deserved coffee breaks to help them reach our lunchbox goals.

Hearts for a New World eV

We have supported the projects of the Heart for a New World Association in various ways, such as through donations in kind or donations in kind on specific occasions.

For the Peruvian evening organized by the association "Hearts for a New World," we donated selected Peruvian organic coffee specialties from our range. This ensured an authentic "Peruvian evening."
